Netgear Serial Number Already Registered
I purchased a used Netgear Nighthawk R7000 wi-fi router from some guy on CraigsList. The router works fine.
However, to use the Nighthawk App remote management features, I need to create a 'MyNetgear' account.
The problem is that requires registration of the device, including entering the serial number. When I do so, I get
I was coming from an AMD board/CPU so I did a sysprep in my Windows 7 install to clear out drivers right before installing the board. Usb drivers for gigabyte motherboard. Windows 7 booted right up without needing a fresh install (thank goodness).
I bought a refurbished Orbi and satellite from Amazon. When I try to register the serial numbers, it tells me (unsurprisingly) that they are already registered. Could you please de-register the following serial numbers and re-register them to my account that i'm posting from: Orbi: 4PM7715K042D8. Satellite: 4PN7725D063BA.
Which I did, but have never received a response. And based on the reputation of Netgear's support, I don't expect one.
If your product does not have a serial number, it has been refurbished. The serial number is not required to register your product.
